Throughout my twenty-one years, I have tried to live the "good" life. I sought happiness by doing what was expected, following the rules, and controlling my surroundings. Ironically, I found there is no true freedom in those ways. I have learned, however, that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17) Jesus was sent from God to proclaim freedom for the captives! (Isaiah 61) Ever since I started walking closely with God, He has challenged me to step into that freedom which he won for me. I believe that no matter where I am or what circumstances I am in, I am always offered freedom from Jesus Christ. He promises neither earthly riches nor the absence of pain, but rather promises Himself and the reward of knowing Him both now and forever!
Life is active, and I want to live it. As I move from the university onto somewhat of an uncertain path, I know the Lord will light it for me as I go! I can't wait to share with you how He leads me. {Expect updates on daily life, travel diaries, encouraging Scriptures and spiritual resources, reviews, random antics, and spontaneous baking experiments.}
Jesus said, "I have come so that they may have life and have it abundantly." This is what my footsteps in freedom are all about.
